Mepitel One Product Launch

Mepitel One is an extension of the Mepitel family, the leading advanced wound care contact layer on the market today. This highly advanced wound contact layer dressing features Safetac technology on the wound contact side only for easy handling and application. The Safetac layer minimizes trauma to the wound and pain to the patient during dressing changes. A polyurethane net backing offers an open mesh structure that allows for transfer of exudate and application of topical treatments, and it is highly transparent for easy wound inspection. Mepitel One minimizes risk of maceration, does not leave residues in the wound bed and does not dry out.

The Safetac layer seals the wound edges, allowing exudate to pass into a secondary absorbent layer and minimizing the risk of maceration. Mepitel One may be left in place for up to 14 days, depending on the condition of the wound, which reduces the necessity for frequent primary dressing changes.

Mepitel One conforms well to body contours and may be used to treat a wide range of wounds, including painful wounds, skin abrasions and lacerations, partial thickness burns, blistering, leg and foot ulcers, skin tears, partial and full thickness grafts, surgical incisions, traumatic wounds, in conjunction with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) and as a protective layer on non-exuding wounds and areas with fragile skin.
